What Is Primary Education
The overall purpose of primary education is to develop children's literacy and numeracy skills and other skills and understandings that prepare young people to take part in society. These other skills and understandings include skills in science, social sciences, community studies, agriculture, art, music, and physical education. Every child should attend a school that provides education suited to their talents and capabilities. With this in mind, schools adapt their teaching to the individual child's development.

This degree is a nationally accredited qualification for employment as a Kindergarten to Year 6 teacher in the public and independent school systems.
